DAY ONE  Monday 2nd December, 2019 

AM Arrive into Auckland Airport where you will be greeted by an Eighth Wonder representative and transported to the Domestic Airport.
Check in and board your aircraft with Air New Zealand for your flight to Napier.
*flight time is 1 hour
PM
Arrive into Napier Airport where you will be greeted by your guide and transported to the Farm at Cape Kidnappers.
*travel time is 45 minutes
Arrive at Cape Kidnappers golf course for your first round of golf. This includes two carts for each group. Your luggage will be delivered to your rooms.
After your round you will be transported to the lodge to freshen up before dinner.
Pre dinner drinks and canapés available at the lodge from 6:30 pm onwards.
Dinner will be served at the lodge. We have requested a private table in the wine cellar.

DAY TWO  Tuesday 3rd December, 2019

8:00am After breakfast the group will be transported to the golf course for your second round at Cape Kidnappers.
9:00am Tee off at Cape Kidnappers.
12-12:30pm Checkout of your accommodation and depart with your guide by private transfer to Craggy Range Winery for lunch.
*travel time is 30 minutes
3-3:30pm Depart Craggy Range with your guide by private transfer to Taupo and the Kinloch Club.
*travel time is 2 hours 10 minutes.
5:10-5:40pm Arrive at the Kinloch Club and check-in to your accommodation.
6:30-7:30pm Dinner will be served at the lodge.

DAY THREE  Wednesday 4th December, 2019

8:00am After breakfast the group will be transported down to the golf course.
9:00am Tee off at Kinloch Golf Course.
1:00pm Lunch will be served at the clubhouse.
2:30pm Enjoy the afternoon at your own leisure. Your guide is on hand for those who wish to explore the Taupo region.
7:00pm Dinner will be served at the Kinloch Club.

DAY FOUR Thursday 5th December 2019

8:00am Checkout of your accommodation and depart with your guide by private ground transfer to Tara Iti.
*total drive time is 4 hours 30 minutes
12:30-1:30pm Arrive at Tara Iti for the Royal Rumble.

TRANSPORTATION

Luxury transfers included during your visit:  

  • Private charter flight from Moorabbin Airport to King Island Airport to Barnbougle Airstrip to Essendon Airport known as the Bass Straight Triangle.

  • All ground transfers on King Island and around Barnbougle.

  • Ground transfer from Essendon Airport to Melbourne International Airport.

  • International airfares to and from Melbourne, Australia. The Eighth Wonder Travel office would be delighted to assist you with your international airline reservations. Please contact us for further information

  • Meals and drinks for the duration of your trip

  • Items of a personal nature (room service, communication charges, spa services, laundry etc)

BAGGAGE HANDLING

Domestic flights allow two bags per traveller with a maximum weight allowance of 23kg per bag for checked baggage (including golf clubs) and 7kg per person for hand luggage. Baggage and personal effects are taken at owner’s risk throughout the tour, and baggage insurance is strongly recommended. Please consult your international air carrier for its specific restrictions regarding weight limits and baggage allowance.

REGISTRATION AND CANCELLATION

Once a booking is confirmed then a 50% deposit is due. Final payment is due 10 days prior to arrival. Cancellations must be received by Eighth Wonder Travel in writing. If cancellation is required then we will charge a NZD $1,000.00 non-refundable fee for the group, plus any cancellation charges incurred from our suppliers. 

INSURANCE

It is advisable that all participants take out comprehensive travel, medical, cancellation, curtailment and default insurance for the duration of the trip. Due to the remote and wild areas that will be visited, it is vital that all participants are covered for emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances. Eighth Wonder Travel will not be held responsible for participants travelling without insurance.

SPECIAL NOTICE FOR GOLFERS TRAVELLING TO AUSTRALIA

Australia's rural-based economy requires strict bio-security, so it is important for golfers to enter the country with clean golf shoes and clean golf clubs. Anyone arriving with golf clubs and/or golf shoes will be diverted to quarantine inspection upon arrival in Australia. With clean shoes, clubs, and golf bags/travel covers, the inspection time should simply be a matter of minutes. For golfers with traces of dirt or grass, bio-security staff may clean the items and fines may be imposed on the spot. To ensure a speedy entrance, ensure that clubs, shoes, golf bags, and travel covers are free from dirt and grass.
